Monthly Update for April 2025 for the Witton & Rudheath Ward

 

Anti-Social Behaviour

  • Report of an off-road being ridden around the Gadbrook Road area in a dangerous manner. Made off before patrols attended.
  • Report of large group of youths trying to gain entry to a disused premises on Gadbrook Business Park. Youths left prior to patrols attending.
  • Report of youths playing knock and run around the area of Salkeld Street.
  • Report of fly tipping and anti-social behaviour in the woodlands off Belmont Park. Patrols taking place to prevent/deter further issues.
  • Report of damage caused to a vehicle, where the passenger side has been keyed.
  • Report of damage caused to a vehicle, where a panel has been kicked.
  • Report of damage caused to the front door of a residential property, where the suspect has hit the door with a stick, suspect has been identified. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Burglary

  • No reports have been received.
  •  Theft

  • Report of theft of ladders from the roof of a vehicle, parked on the street outside a residential property.
  • Report of Theft of cooking oil from the Broken Cross. This type of theft is occurring across the country from Public Houses. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Two reports of theft of laundry products from Coop. Suspect has been identified and charged.
  • Report of a garden shed being broken into, and hedge cutters stolen.
  • Report of a theft of Red Bull drinks from Coop. Suspects seen on CCTV, enquiries are ongoing.
  • Report of a garden shed being broken into, tools and fishing equipment stolen.
  • Report of a theft of food items by an unknown female suspect seen on CCTV.
  • Report of a theft of scratch cards from the garage on king Street.
  •  Road Safety

  • Vehicle stopped on Shipbrook Road, following checks the driver was arrested for providing a positive drugs wipe. Investigation is continuing
  • Officers in plain clothes sighted a male riding an illegal Surron electric bike on Danefield Road.  A mix of uniformed beat Officers and the plain officers were able to get hold of the bike. The male ran off but was detained following a struggle shortly afterwards.
    The male was then found to be in possession of a large quantity of suspected Cocaine, and a search of male’s property resulted in various drugs related items being recovered. The male was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and driving without insurance.
  • Vehicle stop check on Middlewich Road. Following various checks it was established the Driver was Wanted on Warrant, driving without insurance, taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and fraudulently using a registration mark.
  • Speed Enforcement conducted on Griffiths Road 2 offences were captured and reported.
  •  Parking/highway Obstructions

  • Report of parking issues around Verdin Street. Patrols have taken place no offences have been identified to date. Patrols will continue and appropriate action will be taken when necessary.

    Weekly Police Surgeries

    The surgeries will be held at The Venue, Gadbrook Road, Rudheath.

    Thursday 8th May, between 4pm – 5pm.

    Friday 16th May, between 12pm – 1pm.

    Saturday 24th May, between 10am – 11am.

    Saturday 31st May, between 3pm- 4pm.
