Monthly Update for May 2025

 

Anti-Social Behaviour

  • Report of youths damaging the fishing stages, starting fires and pouring an unknown liquid into the pond, around the Dane Valley Orchard.
  • Report of youths razzing off road bikes on Leftwich Meadows and when challenged by the reporting person the youths became abusive.
  • Burglary

  • No reports have been received.
  • Theft

  • Report of a theft of garden lights and planters from a property on Dean Street. The items have been returned.
  • Road Safety

  • Officers in plain clothes sighted a male riding an illegal Surron electric bike on Danefield Road. A mix of uniformed beat Officers and the plain officers were able to get hold of the bike. The male ran off but was detained following a struggle shortly afterwards.
    The male was then found to be in possession of a large quantity of suspected Cocaine, and a search of male’s property resulted in various drugs related items being recovered. The male was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and driving without insurance. UPDATE – Male has been to court and received a 4year custodial sentence.
  • Speed Enforcement conducted on King Street 8 offences were captured and reported.
  • Mini Police conduct 6 speed monitoring sessions over 2 days on Gadbrook Road, with over 20 motorists exceeding the 20mph speed limit.
  • Vehicle stop check on Owen Street, driver provided a positive drugs wipe and arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Vehicle stop check on Greenway Drive, following a search of the driver and vehicle, the driver was arrested on suspicion of being concern in the supply of class A drugs.
  • Vehicle stop check on Danefield Road, the driver provided a positive breath test, was arrested and charged.
  • Vehicle stop check on Gadbrook Road, following a search of the vehicle and the two occupants, they were both arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply heroin & cocaine.
  • Vehicle stop check on Malpas Road, following on the driver was arrested for driving without a licence, driving without insurance and being concerned in the supply of drugs. Investigation is ongoing.

    Parking/highway Obstructions

  • Mini Police conduct parking patrols on 3 afternoons around school collection time, on the roads surrounding the school and issued ‘Good’ and ‘Bad’ parking tickets which they had designed, please to say the majority of tickets issued were for good parking.
  • Reported obstruction on Salkeld Street, resident unable to get their vehicle off the driveway. Patrols assisted the driver getting out of the driveway and onto the road.
  • Report of a van obstructing the pavement on James Street, on attending the van was parked on the roadside and not obstructing the pavement.
  • Weekly Police Surgeries

    The surgeries will be held at The Venue, Gadbrook Road, Rudheath.

    Monday 16th June, between 10am – 11am.

    Thursday 26th June, between 1pm - 2pm.

    Tuesday 1st July, between 6pm - 7pm.

    Thursday 10th July, between 3pm - 4pm.
