I partnered with the newly appointed Cheshire West and Chester (CWAC) Community ASB Officer to conduct joint patrols around past and current anti-social behaviour (ASB) hotspots within WEAVER & CUDDINGTON ward. This proactive initiative aims to build local knowledge and strengthen the partnership approach to tackling ASB. During our patrol, we had the opportunity to meet and engage with Weaverham Parish Clerk as well as Cllr's Wilkinson and Freeman.

A lovely afternoon spent with the ladies of CUDDINGTON & SANDIWAY WI celebrating 80 years since VE Day - 08/05/1945.  Thank you to CWAC Cllr EDWARDS for the kind invitation.

You said... speed was a concern on WEAVERHAM ROAD.

We did.... speed enforcement on WEAVERHAM ROAD.  No offences captured, the highest recorded speed being 30 mph.

A concerned member of the public attended the PCSO office at The Lighthouse Church Centre to report ongoing issues involving a motorbike being ridden dangerously in the Well Lane / Farm Road area. The motorbike is reportedly very loud and is being ridden between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM on the public highway by an unknown male rider without a helmet, often carrying a male or female passenger also without helmets. Patrols were carried out in the area this evening, but no trace of the motorbike or individuals was found. If you have any information regarding those involved, please contact me Michelle.Gillett@cheshire.police.uk   Officers will look to provide words of advice, and if seen by police, a Section 59 warning will be issued. Continued misuse may result in the seizure of the vehicle.  On a brighter note, it was lovely during patrol to see a family enjoying themselves flying a kite on the hill near Weaver View – a great reminder of the positive use of our shared spaces.

A bicycle has been found at Weaverham Community Centre. If you believe it may be yours, please contact the centre directly with a description.

A concerned member of the public attended my surgery in Cuddington to report a blue quad bike being ridden in an antisocial manner around Blake Lane area. If you have any information regarding those involved, please contact me - Michelle.Gillett@cheshire.police.uk  Officers will look to provide words of advice, and if seen by police, a Section 59 warning will be issued. Continued misuse may result in the seizure of the vehicle.  Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community safe.

PCSO Di and I attended Greenbank School’s Diversity Festival!  Students enjoyed a sunny, fun-filled day packed with learning and excitement, including:

Face painting

Live music from a local band

A visit from The Owl Man with Hollie the Barn Owl, Sam the Eagle Owl, and Chrissy the skunk

Burgers & chips

Delicious ice creams

A lively fun run

An outdoor disco under the sun

Exploring a police vehicle and trying on police uniforms

So many happy smiling faces as students dressed up as officers and sat in the patrol vehicles.

A member of the public reported an unnecessary obstruction to the footpath on Keepers Lane, which forced pedestrians to step onto the highway to pass safely. Following assessment, a Fixed Penalty Notice was issued for unnecessary obstruction.

A Big thank you to G & B Accessories for assisting with my bike maintenance this afternoon — truly appreciated! Great community support.

Please note that the PCSO surgery originally scheduled for Tuesday 17th June at The Lighthouse, Weaverham has been rescheduled to Thursday 19th June, from 15:30 to 16:30 hours.  Come along to discuss any community concerns — your voice matters! Alternatively complete our survey link attached- https://www.cheshire.police.uk/residentsvoicenorthwich

Following reports from the community about youths drinking on the mugga in CUDDINGTON, a patrol was conducted this afternoon.  Evidence of alcohol consumption was noted, with empty vodka bottles found in the waste bin provided. No broken glass was seen in the area. Further ASB patrols across our ward will be made this evening.

The Royal Cheshire County Show 2025

I’ll be assisting at The Royal Cheshire County Show next Tuesday and Wednesday near Tabley, Knutsford, just off the A556. Come and say hello at the Cheshire Constabulary stand! There’ll be lots of fun activities and displays for all ages — a great day out for the whole family. The weather forecast is looking good, so don’t forget your sun lotion and hat. See you there!
