Suspicious Activity – Unsolicited Visitations in Burton

📅 Reported on Tuesday 24th June 2025.

📍 Vicarage Lane, Burton.

⏰ Between 11am and 12 noon.

📑 Incident Report: Suspicious Activity – Unsolicited Visitations

On Tuesday 24th June, two males in a white estate vehicle featuring a thin yellow stripe along the side were observed calling at two separate properties on Village Lane.  On both occasions, the individuals parked directly on the driveways of the residences without prior permission.  When approached and questioned by the occupants, they claimed to be from the highways or motorway authority, offering services or products.  No formal identification or paperwork was presented during either visit.

At one of the properties, when asked to leave, one of the males became notably persistent and did not depart immediately, claiming they had actually broken down and wanted to use a phone.  The individuals eventually left after being asked to do so and no further interactions have been reported.

🎥  Could anyone living in Burton Village, particularly in the area of Vicarage Lane, please check if they have any CCTV footage of relevance, between 10am and 12 noon.

We are looking for footage of a white vehicle with a yellow stripe along the side, occupied by two males wearing orange hi-vis tops and hats, who were involved in suspicious activity while calling at houses in the area.
