Crime Updates

Good Afternoon,

Stockton Heath residents may be aware of a couple of road traffic collisions that occurred in the village over the weekend.

The first was on Friday night around 10.30pm outside Gin Alley on London Rd. This involved a driver who had an epileptic seizure at the wheel and crossed the carriageway and hit an on-coming car. Police attended and the road was closed whilst the male received treatment in the ambulance, but thankfully it was a low speed collision and there were no injuries reported.

The second was in the early hours of Sunday morning, also on London Rd, and involved a vehicle mounting the pavement and hitting a pedestrian, . The driver then drove off from the scene. Police patrols later located the vehicle and the female driver was arrested for Failing to stop after an accident, failing to provide a sample of breath when requested, and Dangerous Driving.

She is now on police bail pending a full investigation.

Thanks for your continued support!
