SC Chapman and I visited the Weaverham Beavers group to chat with the 6–8 year olds! Topics covered: Road Safety – Green Cross Code Who Are the Police – Exploring different roles Clever Never Goes – Making safe choices The children loved using emoji voting cards to show off their knowledge and understanding! After the session, everyone had fun checking out the cell van – sitting inside and exploring like real officers! Thank you to the Beavers for such a fun and engaging evening!
This week, I delivered Crime and Consequences presentations to Year 5 & Year 6 pupils at Sandiway Primary School! Topics included: Rules & Laws Being a Good Citizen Responsibilities Peer Pressure Pupils took part in an interactive session using coloured cards to vote on whether each scenario involved a crime – guided by their moral compass! All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the session and showed fantastic engagement throughout! Thank you Sandiway!
Multi-Agency Walkabout – Weaverham This afternoon I joined CWAC Councillor EDWARDS, Highways Officer BARRON, Cheshire Police Traffic Management officer JONES, and Weaverham Parish Council Clerk Adrian MORGAN for a joint walkabout to review key road concerns raised by residents. Areas visited included: Forsters Avenue – Parking issues Keepers Lane – Flooding concerns Station Road – Overgrown hedges West Road – Speed restrictions Forest Road - Speed reminders High Street – Footpath condition Weaverham Shops – Leaf accumulation Thank you to all our partner agencies for your continued support in keeping our community safe.
Get Safe Online has launched a new scam detection tool on their website.
If you are suspicious of a text, email or message and you want to check if it is legit or not before responding, you can upload it to Ask Silver on the Get Safe Online website and whereupon it will return an indication of whether the communication is safe or a ‘red flag’ for fraud.
