Operation Treacle

Operation Treacle is a yearly operation centred around safety and reducing Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) around Halloween and Bonfire night.

Throughout this period you will see an increase in Police patrols around hot spot areas and Bonfire displays. This is to deter any dangers surrounding these nights and the dates either side. 

This is a great opportunity for parents to speak to children about the dangers of Fireworks, fires and speaking to strangers. If you have children and they are going out trick or treating, makes sure you are in groups, a responsible adult is present and that every child and parent is wearing something high vis so others can see you. 

School talks have been held with year 6 students to educate them in dangers and how to keep safe. 

Leaflets have been dropped off at Fearnhead Community Centre and the local library for anyone that would like them. A picture of the leaflet is attached.
