Force Control Room Appreciation

24/7/365 our control room operators come to work to be the first person our communities speak to when they need help – whether that’s neighbour issues, stolen items, or more harrowing and distressing situations.

Records show that we are receiving more calls than ever before across all areas of the emergency services including from people in Cheshire.

In the last three months, our control room has received over 40,000 emergency calls for help most of those answered in just five seconds, answered more than 40,000 non-emergency calls and responded to more than 9,000 reports of crime made online.

Our FCC operators are as much a part of the frontline response to policing than the officers themselves, and this week is all about celebrating the incredible job they do in Cheshire and in control rooms of all emergency services around the World.
