SPEEDING. CREWE AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

Good morning, 

After typing up and sending off the latest speed enforcement data, it is clear that most drivers caught speeding, lived within a few miles of where they committed the driving offence.

We regularly ask you to give feedback on the Residents Voice Survey - https://orlo.uk/lhZz3 and one of the main things requested in every area in and around Crewe each month is for us to focus on speeding.

It's mainly local residents that are speeding. So it's local residents that can make the biggest change to how safe our roads are and feel.


So next time you get behind the steering wheel, consider the family, friends, neighbours and others in your community that you are putting at risk by speeding in our home town and local area.

It shouldn't take a warning, points on your licence, a speed awareness course or a court hearing to change your mind about speeding. Knowing that you're putting your community at risk should be enough to make you slow down and reduce your speed (not just where a camera might be, but where there is a built up area to protect our loved ones.)
