Week 6 Newsletter Festive Community Spirit & Local Updates Faith & Fellowship St Bede’s Church – Wonderful engagement with the faith community, sharing time and festive cheer. Pensioners’ Party Extravaganza! The Lighthouse Church Hall was alive with joy, laughter, and festive magic! Menu by Turners, Northwich (Cuddington Manor Farm): Cocktail Sausages Chicken in creamy tarragon sauce with potatoes, mange tout, leeks, and baby corn Desserts: Lemon Roulade, Trifle, Victoria Sponge Entertainment Highlights: Advent Quiz Carols by St Bede’s Catholic Primary School Pantomime Raffle Surprise Santa visit with gifts for all! Huge thanks to Claire and the St Bede’s community for inviting me to help serve food – a magical start to the festive season! Safety Workshops at The Lighthouse, Weaverham PCSO Michelle delivered fun, interactive sessions: Road Safety – Egg experiment to show helmet protection Crime & Consequences – Fingerprinting at a mock crime scene Online Safety – Quiz with chocolate coin prizes! Certificates presented by Santa for a festive finale! Space Dance Christmas Show – Harlequin Theatre Over 70 children wowed the audience with incredible routines! Embrace Dementia Café Christmas Celebration Weaverham Community Choir filled the room with carols and festive warmth. Neighbourhood Watch – Working Together for Safer Communities Neighbourhood Watch isn’t just about crime prevention – it’s about community care. What we do: Keep an eye out for suspicious activity Support vulnerable neighbours Share important safety updates Offer reassurance visits to those living alone Reassurance Visits – Supporting Our Community Over the past week, I’ve carried out several reassurance visits to members of our community who live alone. For many, this visit can mean the world – sometimes I’m the only person they see all day. Community Spotlight Great to see an iconic red telephone box being repurposed for a fantastic community initiative! Christmas Without a Loved One Service Today at St Mary’s was a truly beautiful and reflective time – a gentle space to remember, honour, and find peace during the festive season. Parking Concern – High Street, Weaverham | You Said, We Did Following a concern about a vehicle parked on a zebra crossing: Contacted the registered keeper and visited the takeaway premises to provide words of advice. CWAC Enforcement Officers informed – regular patrols scheduled. Reassurance given to the complainant – You Said, We Did – and we’ll continue working to keep our roads safe. Have your say!
