Week 14 Newsletter – Weaver & Cuddington Beat Internet Safety Session – KS2 Pupils at Weaverham Primary Academy took part in an interactive and practical Internet Safety session today. The group discussed who is responsible for keeping the internet safe, explored the positives and negatives of being online, and learned essential ways to stay protected when using devices. Topics covered: Device safety – importance of keeping software updated Recognising adverts, sponsored content, and online influences Protecting personal information and never sharing passwords Understanding their digital footprint and thinking before they post Speaking safely to others online and knowing what to do if something feels wrong Class points were awarded for excellent understanding and enthusiastic interaction throughout the session. Morning Engagement at Petty Pool College I attended Petty Pool College alongside our Youth Engagement Officer, who delivered an important Online Safety talk to students aged 16–25. Students took part in interactive group chats and a Q&A session It was lovely to see students praising their peers for getting Q&A answers correct. Weaver & Cuddington Resident Voice – Thank You!
