Week 20 Final Weekly report from your PCSO
School Transport Safety Checks – Weaverham High School
I assisted DVSA, alongside CWAC Transport Commission officers, carrying out spot checks on taxis and coaches transporting pupils to Weaverham High School.
Also in attendance was CWAC Cllr Edwards, the Council’s School Road Safety Lead
As a result of the checks:
4 ORN (Offence Rectification Notices) were issued
1 immediate mechanical prohibition was issued
There were some short‑term disruptions to services, however the safety of our pupils is always the main priority.
These checks help ensure vehicles carrying children are safe and roadworthy. Thank you to all partner agencies for their joint working to keep our young people safe on their journey to and from school.
School Visit – Anti‑Social Behaviour Talk
This afternoon I visited Weaverham Primary Academy to deliver an Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) presentation to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
We talked about:
What ASB is Peer association and influence Making positive choices The difference between laws and rules Dispersal notices and why they are used
The pupils showed excellent communication, fantastic engagement, and a really good understanding of the topics. They asked thoughtful questions and took part respectfully throughout – a real credit to the school.
Thank you to Weaverham Primary Academy for having me – it’s always a pleasure working with such engaged young people.
Mini Police – Weaverham Primary Academy
A brilliant final session in the sunshine, with the Mini Police litter picking around the school grounds and showing real community pride.
Followed by personal Mini Police portfolio, awarded and created by PCSO Michelle.
Each portfolio included certificates recognising their hard work and commitment, including:
Road Safety First Aid Passing Out Attestation The Mini Police Promise Community Pride Litter Picks
And most importantly, a copy of the certificate awarded by the Highest Sheriff of Cheshire, recognising Weaverham Primary Academy mini police for its outstanding community support and engagement.
I am super proud of each and every one. All have been absolutely superb students and fantastic role models for your school and community. Wishing all the very best as they move into Year 6
Mini Police Weaverham – Year 5, 2026… over and out!
Weaverham Primary Academy - Thank you so much for the kind leaving gift and hand made card. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you all, and I will take away so many happy memories.
School Engagement – Weaverham Forest Street Primary
I’ve attended Weaverham Forest Street Primary School this morning to deliver an Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) presentation. There was fantastic engagement from all Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, with lots of thoughtful questions and positive discussion throughout. A big thank you to the school for accommodating the visit during the SATs practice period. Wishing Year 6 the very best of luck in your next mock SATs exam – you’ve got this!
Community Engagement at Its Best – Cuddington Primary School
I delivered an Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) presentation to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Cuddington Primary School
The pupils were a credit to their school, showing excellent interaction and superb behaviour throughout the session. Their understanding of ASB and its impact on the community was clear and encouraging to see. As the pupils left the school hall, there were high‑fives and verbal thanks, which was a great way to end the session. This displays the value of early intervention and positive engagement with young people. Community engagement at its best.
My final school presentation – and what a way to end!
I finished delivering ASB presentations to Year 5 & 6 pupils at Sandiway Primary School, and the engagement was absolutely amazing. The Q&A session was fantastic, with some really thoughtful questions. Leaving the classrooms to high‑fives and a little handmade gift was just the perfect way to sign off. You have all been truly awesome.
I attended my final Weaverham Parish Council meeting in uniform last night to discuss my last newsletter. Community concerns included youths accessing a derelict farm (landowner informed ), reports of an ASB quad bike on Hazel Drive (patrols carried out, search made, no trace ), and parking issues on Wallerscote Road together with speeding hotspots.
Thank you so much for the kind and unexpected card and flowers — incredibly thoughtful and very much appreciated.
What a way to end my policing career!
I am incredibly proud and honoured to have received a Recognition of Services to the Community award, presented by the High Sheriff of Cheshire at the Crimebeat Awards.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way — colleagues, partners, volunteers, and most importantly the wonderful communities I’ve had the privilege to serve.
To Cheshire Constabulary, thank you for the memories, the challenges, and the opportunities.
PCSO Michelle Gillett 20488 – VP17 signing off for the very last time.
It’s truly been a blast!!
