School engagement |

Dear resident
Over the last month I have been visiting all our Primary Schools and introducing myself to the new ones I have inherited. It took some time but I have now managed to visit and introduce myself to all the schools with my diary fast being booked for engagement and presentation opportunities. Whilst at the schools, it has been noted that some have serious issues with parking at drop off and pick up times. The worst offending schools have been issued a letter introducing myself and offering solutions and advice to parents/guardians about how we can get around this and avoid the issuing of fines. All those letters should have now gone out to parents. So, if you have a child that attends a school in Warrington North, please check your emails to see if you have received one.
I do not like issuing fines, especially in the current financial times but it is paramount that our children should arrive and leave school safely. It is also important that residents that live near the schools are able to remove their vehicles from their driveways should they need to. Not to mention access for emergency services.
Moving forward, I intend to monitor all schools. If parents are in their vehicles, I am happy to offer advice but if the vehicle is unattended, dependant on how dangerous it is parked, it could be subject to a fixed penalty notice s o please take this on board.
Kind regards. PCSO 23561 Neil Potter
