Vehicle theft is evolving—and relay theft is now one of the most common ways cars are stolen in the UK.

🔑 What is relay theft?
Thieves use devices to capture and amplify your key fob’s signal from inside your home, tricking your car into unlocking—even when the key isn’t nearby.

🛡️ How to protect your vehicle:

✅ Use a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday pouch)
Store your key fob in a Faraday pouch at home and when travelling to block radio signals.

✅ Keep keys away from doors and windows
Avoid leaving keys near entry points where signals can be easily detected.

✅ Enable security settings
Some vehicles allow you to disable keyless entry or switch the fob to sleep mode—check your manual.

✅ Use additional deterrents
