Community Alert – Recent Incidents

We would like to make residents aware that over the past week there have been three separate incidents reported in the Marbury and Norbury area. In each case, individuals have gained entry into outbuildings and stolen various items, including power tools.

Please remain vigilant and take the following precautions where possible:

Security Advice:

Always lock sheds, garages, and outbuildings, even when you are at home

Use high-quality padlocks, ground anchors, and hasps to secure doors

Consider installing motion-activated lighting, alarms, or CCTV to deter offenders

Keep valuable items out of sight and avoid leaving tools in easily accessible locations

Mark and record serial numbers of tools and equipment (consider property marking kits)

Fit shed or garage alarms for an added layer of protection

Ensure gates and side access points are secure, as these are often used to gain entry

Join or stay active in local neighbourhood watch or community groups

Please report any suspicious activity immediately and contact us if you have seen anything unusual or have CCTV/dashcam footage that may assist enquiries.
