Wistaston-Willaston Beat Team update - Neighbourhood Watch Recruitment and Scams

Alert message sent 04/04/2021 11:53:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hi all,

Your local community beat team would like to wish you all a happy and safe Easter.

We are looking to recruit new neighbourhood watch members for Wistaston and Willaston. For ‘eyes and ears’ in their local areas, to transfer useful information to nearby neighbours. With an increase in scams, we fear many of our elderly generation in our areas are unfortunately too trusting. We unfortunately haven’t got the resources or staff to visit every single property in our areas on a consistent basis. However, we do complete ‘Street a week’ once a week per street. This isn’t enough, and we are reaching out for passionate members of the community to become a volunteer.

To register your interest and sign up please email cheshirewatch@cheshire.pnn.police.uk who can help you set up your scheme and provide further information.
We will print this alert and post on our social media platforms to reach an audience.

Our current active members utilise this scheme, print and post relevant information across to their neighbours.

P.S: Thank you for all the continued support. It’s been a busy few months, but in a good sense. Positive action has been taken and we will continue to work cohesively together in order to serve and protect our community.

Please stay safe and please reach out to us, you’re never alone.
