Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
5 to 18 April 2021 
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Liverpool Road – ‘Neston Medical Centre’ has door damaged and window smashed to gain access to building.  Search made within but nothing taken.  Offenders disturbed by the alarm sounding.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Thornleigh Gardens – Garden furniture, consisting of table and 4 chairs taken from garden, along with a patio umbrella which was removed from the shed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Whilst in post office purse placed on counter, which was removed by another female customer.
  • Sutton
  • Church Lane – Access gained to rear garden and bar at the bottom of it.  Alcohol taken from within.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Two incidents at separate properties.
    • ‘EPK9’ has graffiti daubed onto shutters in white paint.
    • Brick thrown through window.
  • Oldfield Road – Rear gate kicked causing damage to the lock.
  • Woodfield Road – Glass window in front door smashed.
  • Cambridge Road – Front door to flat within ‘Ainsley Court’ kicked off hinges causing damage to both the door and its surround.
  • Whitby
  • Maxwell Close – Tile on single storey extension broken by unknown means.
  • Park Drive – Small fire lit in the nature reserve part of Whitby Park.
  • St. Kilda Drive – Unauthorised access gained into residential garden and tree cut down.
  • Rossmore
  • Cressington Gardens – Glass panel in front door smashed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Bridge Court – Lock and chain on washing line broken. – Named suspect.
  • Parkgate
  • Moorfield Drive – Trees and bushes on property cut without permission.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Capenhurst Lane – Window smashed on property and glass in greenhouse smashed on TU property.
  • St. Pauls
  • Neston Green – Windows at property smashed. – Male arrested.
  • Sutton
  • Bridge Meadow – Large hole made into outer pain of glass, possibly by a fire extinguisher which was left in the front garden.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Juniper Drive – Brand new basketball kit left in bag outside property taken by unknown person.
  • Rossmore
  • Livingstone Road – Black and white female American bulldog taken from rear garden.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Gladstone Road – Wind chimes and crystals taken from outside address.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Two unknown males in a pickup remove and take two artificial trees from with side of front door.
  • Grange
  • Pooltown Road – Parcel, left on doorstep taken by unknown person.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Newnham Drive – Audi A4 entered by unknown means and wallet and house keys taken from cup holder. – Male arrested.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hadlow Road – Skoda Fabia, parking on train station car park has rear and rear side windows smashed.  Entry into boot area and bag taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stafford Gardens – Citroen Saxo targeted on a couple of occasions during the timeframe of this bulletin.
    • 1st - tyres slashed and damage caused to bodywork damaged by scratching.
    • 2nd – unknown person seen jumping up and down on the vehicle and then the windows were smashed.
  • Strawberry
  • Randle Meadow – Peugeot 208 has wing mirror kicked off by group of youths.
  • Rossmore
  • Quayside – Citroen Dispatch has windscreen damaged whilst parking in communal parking area.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Woodacre Road – Group of youths with baseball bats smash up Audi A3 causing damage to bodywork and lights.
  • Naylor Road – Citroen Picasso has windscreen damaged by a stone which was left insitu.
  • St. Pauls
  • Heywood Road – Group of youths throw objects at Peugeot causing damage to the bonnet.
  • Delamere Green – Mazda 6 has both wing mirrors knocked off.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Dacia Sandero, parked within the car park of the ‘Medical Centre’ dented to the front by what appears consistent with having been jumped on.
