WARRINGTON RUNNING FESTIVAL

ROAD CLOSURES – 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021

There will be several road closures on Sunday 26th during the Warrington Running Festival. The list below shows the times of the closures and what streets are effected:

Sankey Street – 07:00 – 13:00

Winmarleigh Street, Wilson Patten Street, Bridgefoot – 08:30 – 12:30

Mersey Street, Church Street – 08:30 – 10:15

Farrell Street, Holmsfield Road, Howley Lane – 08:45 – 09:50

Wharf Street – 09:00 – 10:15

Knutsford Road (Eastbound) 09:00 – 10:15

Knutsford Road (Westbound) – 09:00 – 12:30

Wash Lane, Loushers Lane – 09:15 – 10:40

Ackers Road, Station Road – 09:20 – 12:00

Grappenhall Road – 09:20 – 11:00

Stockton Lane, Chester Road – 09:30 – 12:00

Grammar School Road – 09:40 – 12:00

Bridge Street, Rylands Street, Suez Street – 09:50 – 12:30

12:30 – Final Runners back in Event Village, All Highways Reopened.


For all residents in the housing area opposite Victoria Park will have access via Town side of St Mary Street

There are 3 running routes for the event, half marathon, 10k and 5k, a map of each route has also been attached for you convenience.
