car crime - increasing trend at recreational areas

Alert message sent 25/10/2019 14:35:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello there,
We would like to raise awareness of an increasing trend for car crime at recreational areas.  Two of these are Pickerings Pasture on Mersey View Road, Halebank and Church Road - turning area at the bottom towards Lighthouse Road in Hale Village.  Vehicle windows are being smashed and items, if left, are being stolen.   Two incidents occurred yesterday 24th October 2019 mid afternoon.

Please help us raise awareness and advise friends and family of this and ask them to let others know.  Please take steps to reduce these incidents yourself by not leaving anything of any value in parked vehicles, try and be aware of your surroundings and any persons or other vehicles.  If possible utilise dash cams.

If you have any dash cam footage while in either of these areas yesterday mid-afternoon please get in touch with me via email or the 101 telephone number or look at our website at   Do not post any such sensitive information online.

Thank you for your time and any help you give.
